This Privacy Policy describes how GoGoTech (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://www.gogotech.io or use GoGoTech IMS (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. Related rules for accounts and messaging appear in our Terms of Use.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the Service, including:

• Account data such as name, work email, role, password (stored hashed), and organization affiliation.
• Contact details such as email addresses and mobile phone numbers used for invitations, alerts, and operational notices.
• Operational data you or your organization enter or ingest, such as sites, equipment, meters, inventory, and related logs.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location derived from IP, used for security, session management, and diagnostics.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including authentication and access control.
• Send account, security, and operational messages by email or text (SMS) when you or your administrator have provided a contact method.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Comply with law and enforce our terms.

3. Mobile numbers and text messages

We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose mobile phone numbers to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers you provide for GoGoTech IMS are used only to contact you about your account, the services you use, and operational notices we send on your behalf.

Message frequency varies. You may receive account, security, and operational messages when events occur (for example invitations, alerts, or status notices). Typical volume is a few messages per week when your sites are active. We do not send daily marketing texts.

Message and data rates may apply. To opt out of text (SMS) messages, reply STOP to any message from us. After we process your request we will send a one-time confirmation and then stop SMS to that number, except as required by law or to confirm a later opt-in. Reply HELP for help. You may also contact us at ops@gogotech.org to update or remove a number.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service: with processors who host or send mail and messages on our behalf (bound by contract to use data only for that purpose); with your organization and users you authorize; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets, with notice where required.

We do not share mobile phone numbers with third parties for those parties’ marketing lists or promotional campaigns.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar storage (for example a session cookie) to keep you signed in and to protect the Service. We do not use those cookies to serve third-party advertising.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate operations, legal, and security purposes, then delete or de-identify it according to our practices. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

You may update profile details in the Service, unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in each message, and opt out of SMS as described above. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to certain processing. Send requests to ops@gogotech.org. We may need to verify your identity and cannot always delete data we must keep for legal or security reasons.

8. Children

The Service is for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries where we or our processors operate. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change, and material updates may be noted in the Service or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
